Opening: Accounts Receivable Specialist
Location: Anchorage, Alaska
Pay: $28 – $30+ per hour DOE, with full benefits
COMPANY INFO:
We’re partnering with a well-established company in Anchorage that takes pride in accuracy, efficiency, and customer service. They are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist to join their team and play a key role in keeping operations and finances running smoothly.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Generate and distribute accurate invoices to clients.
- Post and apply payments (checks, ACH, credit cards) to customer accounts.
- Monitor AR aging reports and follow up with clients on outstanding balances.
- Research and resolve payment discrepancies or billing issues.
- Maintain accurate customer account records in the accounting system.
- Prepare weekly and monthly AR reports for management.
- Assist with reconciliations and month-end close activities.
- Support audits by providing necessary documentation.
- Work closely with sales and customer service to ensure billing accuracy and client satisfaction.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 2+ years of experience in accounts receivable, billing, or general accounting.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, Oracle, SAP, etc.).
- Excellent attention to detail with accurate data entry skills.
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of basic accounting principles.
- Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. (Preferred, not Required)
- Experience with ERP systems and automated AR processes. (Preferred, not Required)
