Opening: Occupancy Specialist - Temp
City: Seattle, WA (On-Site) - Capitol Hill
Pay Range: $28-30/hr
Monday - Friday, 8 hr days
Temporary - 3 month contract

Their team is committed to making a meaningful impact while maintaining the highest standards of compliance and resident service.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Process move-in applications, transfers, annual and interim recertifications, and compliance updates for a portfolio of affordable and market-rate housing communities.
- Review rental applications and determine eligibility in accordance with HUD, Tax Credit, MFTE, and other affordable housing program requirements.
- Prepare electronic lease documents and process waitlist applicants for subsidized housing programs.
- Maintain accurate tenant records and update property management databases with a high level of accuracy.
- Coordinate annual and interim certifications while ensuring deadlines are met and subsidy compliance is maintained.
- Process housing voucher changes and resident accommodations in accordance with Fair Housing and ADA requirements.
- Collaborate with Property Management and Leasing teams to support occupancy goals and portfolio compliance.
- Maintain detailed documentation, reports, and tenant files while handling confidential resident information professionally.
WHAT YOU NEED TO HAVE:
- At least 1 year of experience working with affordable housing programs such as HUD, Tax Credit, MFTE, HOME, or similar housing assistance programs.
- Experience processing certifications and maintaining compliance documentation.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong administrative skills.
- Ability to communicate professionally with residents, applicants, and internal teams.
- Ability to work independently while prioritizing a high-volume workload.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Affordable Housing certification (HUD, Tax Credit, or related program).
- Experience working with diverse populations.
- Knowledge of Fair Housing regulations, ADA requirements, and Washington landlord-tenant laws.
- Previous experience in property management or compliance administration.
