They are committed to excellence and are now looking for a meticulous Medical Coding Specialist to join their dedicated team.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
In this vital role, you will:
- Accurately receive and review patient charts and documents.
- Ensure all medical codes are up-to-date and active.
- Identify and report any missing or incomplete documentation.
- Meet daily coding production targets.
- Maintain and update document lists efficiently.
- Perform precise charge entries and ensure proper coding on provider documentation.
- Act as a knowledgeable resource for insurance resolutions and coding queries.
- Handle patient co-pays and balance inquiries, along with charge posting.
- Adhere to coding guidelines and legal requirements to comply with federal and state regulations.

WHAT YOU NEED TO HAVE:
High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
Medical Coding Certificate; RHIT or CPC by AAPC or AHIMA license; compliance with state licensure requirements.
At least 2 years of medical coding experience.
Profound understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
Ability to work independently or as an integral part of a team.
Strong computer proficiency, including data entry, coding, EMR software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Exceptional attention to detail.
Efficient multitasking, prioritization, and time management skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
A goal-oriented, organized approach as a team player.
