Compensation Range:
Mechanical Engineer: $92,000 - $105,000
Senior Mechanical Engineer: $115,000 - $125,000 Who We Are:
My client is a global, large scale, custom engineering and manufacturing company with a location in the Portland Metro area for over 30yrs.
What We Are Looking For:
The Mechanical Engineer will design custom automated equipment for manufacturing processes, creating precise, single-run machine components that solve complex engineering challenges. They'll develop innovative mechanical solutions, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and transform customer requirements into functional equipment designs. The role requires rapid design capabilities, deep understanding of automation systems, and the ability to quickly conceptualize and implement mechanical components for manufacturing machinery.

- Design precise mechanical components for single-run manufacturing equipment
- Develop innovative solutions meeting customer specifications
- Create detailed technical drawings and bills of materials
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Provide technical guidance during equipment assembly and implementation
- Exceptional mechanical aptitude
- Advanced problem-solving skills
- Collaborative team player
- Quick learner with strong analytical capabilities
- Hands-on approach to design verification
- * Pneumatic systems * Automation movement solutions * Feedback control mechanisms
- Ability to rapidly design and iterate mechanical components
- Technical Qualifications:
- Proven experience in machine design and automation equipment
- Proficient CAD skills (NX software)
- Experience designing manufacturing process equipment
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 2-5 years experience in Machine design (or 5yrs+ for Senior role)
- Demonstrated ability to work in fast-paced, project-driven environments
