Material Handler - Job Opportunity
Position: Material Handler
Location: Vancouver
Company Overview:
For over 30 years, our client has been a prominent provider of plastic molding services in the SW Washington region. As an industry leader in molding, production, packaging, and shipping, they are committed to delivering high-quality finished parts.
Responsibilities:
As a Material Handler, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Safely transporting materials, components, and finished products between production areas.
- Loading and unloading materials from trucks and conveyors.
- Organizing and staging materials for production.
- Ensuring accurate inventory control and data entry.
- Operating forklifts and other material handling equipment.
- Assisting in maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment.
- Collaborating with production teams to ensure efficient material flow.
- Following safety protocols and guidelines at all times.
- Performing other duties as assigned by supervisors.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience as a material handler or similar role preferred.
- Forklift certification and experience operating forklifts safely.
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 55 lbs).
- Basic computer skills for data entry and inventory tracking.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work in a team.
