OPTI STAFFING IS HIRING!Â
Position: Material Handler / Shipping & Receiving Associate
Location: NE Portland, OR
Pay: $20+/hr (DOE)
Schedule: Full-time, Day Shift

We are a precision machine shop specializing in high-quality machining and fabrication. Our team takes pride in producing top-notch parts and delivering excellence in every stage of production. We value reliability, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic.
What You’ll Do:

Handle incoming and outgoing shipments (loading/unloading, packaging, labeling, documentation)

Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently

Maintain accurate inventory and ensure materials are organized and accounted for

Support machining operations with sawing, deburring, and basic material prep
-
Collaborate with machinists and production staff to ensure smooth workflow
-
Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment

What You Need to Have:
The Musts:
-
1+ year of shipping/receiving, material handling, or warehouse experience
-
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
-
Comfortable with basic hand and power tools (saws, deburring tools, etc.)

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
-
Reliable attendance and positive attitude
-
Forklift experience (or willingness to train)
Preferred:
-
Previous experience in a machine shop, fabrication, or manufacturing setting

Familiarity with shipping software and inventory management systems
-
Forklift certification
-
Mechanical aptitude and interest in machining processes
