Job Description
Position: Manual Machinist
Location: Vancouver, WA
Pay: DOE (Depending on Experience)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

Operate manual machining equipment to manufacture precision parts and tools

Interpret blueprints and job specs to produce sub-assemblies or components
-
Set up machines for one-off or small batch jobs with minimal supervision

Perform quality checks using calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools
-
Maintain daily, weekly, and monthly machine upkeep

Record job-specific quality documentation
-
Calculate feeds and speeds for a variety of materials and machines
-
Keep your personal tools clean, organized, and job-ready

What You Need to Have: The Musts:
-
Able to lift 50 lbs regularly
-
Comfortable climbing ladders and working around large industrial machines
-
Must pass a drug test prior to employment
-
Own basic machinist tools (calipers, micrometer, dial indicator, edge finder, etc.)
-
Strong blueprint reading and basic trig skills
-
Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work independently
Preferred:
-
Tech school graduate or formal machining training
-
5–7 years experience on large horizontal & vertical boring mills
-
Experience with:
-
VTLs (10’ or larger)
-
Large lathes (36” diameter or more)
-
Horizontals with 6’ x 8’ envelopes

Comfortable with one-off setups and non-production jobs
