Position: Manual Machinist III

Location: Clackamas, OR

Pay: $35.00 – $44.00 per hour

Schedule: Full-Time | Day Shift | Monday – Thursday | 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Who We Are:
Hilton Tool is a manufacturer of precision machined components specializing in close tolerance parts, assemblies, prototyping, production runs, and CAD design. We are expanding to a second location in Clackamas, Oregon, and are seeking skilled professionals to join our growing team.

What You’ll Do:

  • Develop plans to manufacture parts according to drawing specifications

  • Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and GD&T requirements

  • Set up and operate manual mills and lathes (primary focus on lathes)

  • Set up tooling and fixtures for each job

  • Monitor production processes and adjust as needed

  • Inspect parts throughout production using precision measuring tools

  • Hold tight tolerances of ± .001

  • Perform final inspection per drawing specifications

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area

  • Troubleshoot and solve machining challenges proactively

What You Need to Have:

  • Extensive experience with manual machine tools

  • Strong knowledge of machining processes, tooling, speeds, and feeds

  • Ability to read blueprints and interpret GD&T

  • Ability to calculate proper feeds and speeds

  • Experience using height gauges, calipers, micrometers, and precision measuring tools

  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills

  • Commitment to workplace safety standards

  • Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset

The Musts:

  • Ability to hold tolerances of ± .001

  • Ability to lift 50 pounds

  • Ability to stand for the entire shift

  • Strong machine shop math skills

Preferred:

  • Experience in precision manufacturing environments

  • Experience with prototyping and production runs

  • Continuous improvement mindset and willingness to share knowledge
