Maintenance Technician

M-F 7am-3:30pm
$23-$24 to start DOE

What you'll do:
Maintain buildings, parking lot, gas yard and equipment to assure they are clean and orderly and proper functional condition by performing assigned duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1) Maintains office and plant buildings performing minor and routine replacement of parts, plumbing, cleaning and other related maintenance activities in accordance with regulatory agency codes.
2) Notifies supervisor concerning need for major repairs or additions to lighting, heating, and ventilating equipment.
3) Reviews daily maintenance and repair schedule.
4) Performs routine preventative maintenance as instructed.
5) Requests tools and equipment needed for maintenance task when needed.
6) Regular walk-throughs to check for equipment leaks, unusual sounds etc that may fore warn of possible maintenance needed to avoid failure or safety hazard.
7) Accurately collects and records data such as pH, equipment maintenance data and part inventory.
8) Assist with maintaining maintenance work orders and other records.
9) Provides input for troubleshooting equipment failures.
10) Abides by company policies, work instructions and safety regulations and submits ideas of improvement.
11) Keeps parking lot clean and checks that dumpster lid is kept down and drain or clear of debris.
12) Keeps gas yard clean and free of hazards.
13) Ensures work areas are kept clean and free of health or safety hazards.
14) Maintains tools & supplies and assure they are returned to proper storage location.
15) Assists with maintaining spare part inventory, including periodic physical counts.
16) Communicate policies, rules, and procedures to other if infractions are seen and notify manager when appropriate.

The must haves:
-Must know how to use basic hand tools.
-Mechanical aptitude (such as working on cars, building things, DYI projects).
-Willing to work as a team & take direction from the lead and or, Foreman.
Preferred, but not needed:
-Experience with wastewater systems is a plus; testing pH, monitoring and cleaning equipment etc.
