Opti Staffing is Hiring!
Position: Maintenance Mechanic (Forklift Mechanic)
Location: Portland, OR
Pay: $18 – $33 per hour (DOE)
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
Who We Are:
We are a trusted equipment service provider specializing in forklift and heavy equipment repair. We pride ourselves on delivering quality service and professional support to our clients, maintaining a strong team-oriented work environment.
What You’ll Do:

Inspect and diagnose equipment malfunctions (engines, hydraulics, electrical, etc.)

Disassemble, repair, and reassemble machinery in a clean, organized manner
-
Perform preventive maintenance and follow-up repairs
-
Communicate with customers in person and via phone
-
Submit work orders with detailed documentation
-
Maintain a professional work area and company vehicle
-
Collaborate with your supervisor and team throughout the day
-
Lift and move up to 75 lbs and perform full-body physical tasks as required

What You Need to Have:
-
Strong mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skills
-
Ability to read technical manuals, drawings, and schematics
-
High School Diploma or equivalent
-
Valid OR or WA driver’s license with a good driving record
-
Own tools for common repairs
-
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
-
Ability to work safely, efficiently, and professionally
The Musts:

Clean & professional appearance

Good attendance and punctuality
-
Ability to work as a team player
-
Background check and drug screening required
Preferred:
-
Prior mechanical or technical school training
-
Experience with forklifts, boom lifts, and telescopic forklifts
