$25-$33 hr DOE
M-Th 6am-4:30pm
Tigard, OR.

Our client is a world leader in precision plastic components, fabrication, and services for Innovative Manufacturing Solutions for Industry. Their products are an integral part of operations in many leading semiconductor fabrication facilities around the world.
What You’ ll Do:
The Machinist operates machines with Mastercam programming knowledge for CNC lathes and vertical machining centers and produces machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine; maintaining quality and safety standards; keeping records; maintaining equipment and supplies. The position performs diversified machining operations with finish specifications on plastic or metal material.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Operate machine tools to produce plastic or metal parts.
· Set up, adjust and operate machinery.
· Lathe set up.
· Ensure all materials are readily available.
· Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting, tools, attachments, accessories, and materials.
· Exchange worn tooling.
· Read blueprints accurately, interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).
· Set controls per pre-programmed specifications.
· Verify settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample workpieces.
· Maintain equipment by completing basic preventive maintenance requirements as directed.
· Effectively monitor the feed and speed during the machining process.
· Check work pieces to ensure they are properly lubricated and cooled.
· Detect problems by listening for specific sounds.
· Monitor the accuracy of cuts.
· Keep records as directed and record time per job.
· Perform appropriate duties as assigned by management.
· Maintain a safe and clean work space.

What You Need to Have:
- 2-5 years experience with Mastercam in the manufacturing sector
- Good attendance
-Ability to communicate properly
-Mechanically inclined
-Solid knowledge with a variety of measuring and hand tools
-Understand measurements
-Reliable transportation
