Position: Machinist 4
Location:Â Vancouver WA
Pay:Â 24-32
Schedule: Swing M to F 3pm-1130pm
Swing M F 5pm to130am
Weekend shifts: Friday to Sunday
5am to 5:30pm or 5pm to 530am

What You’ll Do:
- Set up and operate a variety of industrial machines, including CNC Mills, CNC Lathes, Vertical Machining Centers, and surface grinders to machine ceramic parts.
- Run 1-4 machines simultaneously, perform set-ups, and conduct precision measurements.
- Train other operators and machinists as needed.
- Perform basic preventative maintenance on machines and document all machine issues.
- Read mechanical drawings/blueprints and perform inspections to ensure conformance to specifications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve minor machine problems; make recommendations for improvements.

What You Need to Have:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 7+ years of CNC experience or on-the-job training with a 2-year Machine Technology certificate.
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions in English and perform basic arithmetic.
- Experience with mechanical drawings/blueprints and precision measuring tools.
- Physical ability to lift up to 30 pounds and stand or walk for extended periods.
- Capability to mentor and lead other operators and machinists.
- Must pass criminal background check and drug screen; eligible to work in an ITAR environment.
The Musts:
- Proficiency in setting up and operating CNC machines (e.g., Haas, Fanuc, Okuma).
- Experience in using precision measuring tools and performing quality checks.
- Ability to write, test, edit, and troubleshoot machine programs.
- Knowledge of G and M codes and GD&T.
- Effective communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Preferred:
- Training on CMM and/or optical comparators.
- Experience with 3 and 5 axis CNC machines and diamond tooling.
- Ability to calculate complex dimensions and apply advanced machining techniques.
