Exciting Opportunity - Operator 1 Position Available!

Are you ready to step into a role where precision meets innovation? Join our team as an Operator 1 and be a key player in the proper preparation, cleaning, loading, inspection, and running of parts in 1-4 production machines. This role is perfect for individuals with manufacturing experience who thrive in a dynamic environment.

Position: Operator 1

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain the flow of production parts into the assigned machine or process.
  • Unload ceramic and/or other parts, inspecting them to remove and record any defective parts.
  • Perform basic computer operations for recording metrics (weight, length, ID, OD, density, or counts, etc.).
  • Monitor and document the operation of assigned machines, performing minor maintenance and reporting major repairs as needed.
  • Record information on production as instructed, including pass-down information.
  • Keep work area clean, safe, and organized.
  • Transport parts to and from machines without damage.
  • Comply with safety and Quality Assurance standards, following proper procedures for operating machines.
  • Read handheld measuring instruments accurately.
  • Produce precision parts within the time constraints on the work order/traveler.
  • Support machinists as needed.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 6 months of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read and comprehend verbal and written instructions in English.
  • Basic familiarity with mechanical drawings/blueprints.
  • Vision and depth perception suitable for the use of handheld inspection tools.
  • Willingness to wear finger cots, masks, and/or clean-room apparel.
  • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of shift.
  • Ability to bend, push, pull, reach, grab, turn, twist, and/or stoop.
  • Ability to grab small parts or hand tools with hands.
  • Ability to lift and/or carry up to 30 lbs. depending on the specific function.
  • Eligible to work in an ITAR environment.

Shift: Weekend day shift - Friday to Sunday, 5 am to 5:30 pm
