Situated just north of Seattle, Washington, we are a third-generation privately held corporation with a rich history dating back over 100 years. Specializing in the production of SFI Certified Green Building Products, we transform 100% Douglas Fir into a diverse range of specialty items, such as Kiln Dried Douglas Fir Beams and Timbers, Scaffold Plank, and Douglas Fir Clear Finish, employing environmentally friendly methods. Our market presence extends both domestically and internationally, and our production capabilities are boundless.

Proudly offering SFI Certified Green Building Products, we deliver the highest quality KD Timbers, Scaffold Plank, and Clears.

Our milling capabilities range from surfacing 1x2 up to 16x16 S4S, showcasing our unlimited capacity to meet your specialty lumber needs. Whether your requirements are large or small, we stand ready to fulfill them.

Our shipping services cover transportation by truck, rail, or ship, utilizing international Ports of Vancouver Canada, Seattle, Portland, and Tacoma within the United States.

With a seasoned and competent staff, including experienced teams in sales, log procurement, and plant management, each averaging 25 years of expertise, we are confident that we stand as your premier choice for Douglas Fir Specialty Products.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:
  • Lumber sales
  • Inventory management
  • Account management
  • Shipping
  • Other responsibilities as required
WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU: 
  • $70,000-120,000/year
  • Paid Time Off (PTO)

  • This is an in-office position with a Monday-Friday schedule, 7:30AM-4:30PM

WHAT YOU NEED TO HAVE:
  • Experience in the lumber or logging industry is required
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Sales ability – this is not a cold-calling sales role, but that skillset will be important in this position
  • Accounting experience is a plus
  • Must be extremely organized
  • Must be driven to be successful
  • Need to be innovative – able to think outside the box
  • Confidence is required in this role

I am born and raised in the Seattle area, and have never lived anywhere else. My wife, daughter, and I live in Renton, which is a perfect location for us. We live near all our friends and family, and we love taking advantage of all that the Northwest has to offer. Like the rest of my family, I graduated from the University of Washington, and am a huge Huskies fan. Most of my free time is spent spending time with my family, but besides that, I am a big Mariners and Seahawks fan (Bring back our Sonics!), and I coach high school basketball, which is a passion of mine. I love helping kids develop both on and off the court, and find it very rewarding to see former players as they get older and grow into young adults. Since graduating from college, I have had a number of jobs, but none that I really loved – until I started at Opti. The amazing culture that has been established is what I’ve been looking for. I love being able to help so many people – the satisfaction that comes from making that perfect fit drives me to work every day.
