Location: Anchorage, Alaska
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year (depending on experience) with bonuses
Job Description: We are seeking an experienced and skilled Locksmith to join our team in Anchorage, Alaska. As a Locksmith, you will be responsible for providing a range of locksmith services, including lock installation, repair, rekeying, and emergency lockout assistance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in locksmithing, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Lock Installation and Repair: Install, repair, and maintain various types of locks, including mechanical and electronic locks, padlocks, deadbolts, and keyless entry systems.
- Key Cutting and Duplication: Cut new keys and duplicate existing keys using specialized tools and machinery.
- Rekeying Locks: Rekey locks to ensure security and restrict access when necessary, including changing pins, tumblers, and cylinders.
- Emergency Lockout Assistance: Respond to emergency lockout situations promptly, using appropriate techniques to gain entry without causing damage.
- Keyless Entry System Installation: Install and program keyless entry systems for residential and commercial properties.
- Security Consultation: Assess the security needs of customers and provide recommendations for improved security measures, such as high-security locks or access control systems.
- Customer Service: Interact with customers in a professional and courteous manner, addressing their concerns and ensuring their satisfaction with the locksmith services provided.
- Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records of services performed, including key cutting, lock installations, and repairs.
Requirements:
- Locksmith Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience as a locksmith, with a strong knowledge of locksmithing techniques, tools, and products.
- Valid Driver's License: Possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in using locksmith tools and equipment, including lock picks, key cutters, key programmers, and key machines.
- Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address a variety of lock-related issues efficiently.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in key cutting, lock installations, and repairs.
- Customer Service Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to provide friendly and helpful customer service.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting heavy objects, working in confined spaces, and standing for extended periods.
- Ethics and Integrity: Trustworthy and able to maintain confidentiality and respect customer privacy.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work on-call or respond to emergency locksmith requests outside of regular business hours.
Compensation: The salary range for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 per year, commensurate with experience. In addition, bonuses based on performance and customer satisfaction may be provided.
