Opti Staffing Group is partnering with a well-established excavating and site development company in Wasilla. They specialize in high-quality earthwork projects and are looking for an experienced Lead Heavy Equipment Operator to join their team.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
As a Lead Heavy Equipment Operator, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring efficient and safe site operations. Responsibilities include:
- Operating a variety of heavy equipment, including excavators, dozers, graders, and loaders
- Overseeing site development projects and ensuring quality work is completed on schedule
- Reading and interpreting blueprints, site plans, and grading specifications
- Training and mentoring crew members on equipment operation and job site safety
- Communicating with project managers and supervisors to coordinate tasks
- Performing routine equipment inspections and minor maintenance
REQUIREMENTS:
- Extensive experience operating heavy equipment in excavation and site development
- Strong leadership skills and ability to direct a team effectively
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and site plans
- Knowledge of grading, drainage, and excavation best practices
- Commitment to safety and adherence to job site protocols
- Valid CDL (preferred but not required)
