Location: Tualatin, OR
Compensation: $22-$28/hr, DOE
Hours: This is a full-time, permanent position. Mon-Fri

A manufacturer and wholesale distributor of flanges, expansion joints, valves, other pipe fittings and custom fabricated parts for the Agriculture, Exhaust, HVAC, and Water Works industries. We stock parts in our conveniently located warehouses for quick distribution throughout the United States, and our Machine Shop can modify stock items or produce custom product to meet your unique specifications. What You'll Do:

The Inside Account Manager position supports our mission by selling, providing technical and customer service support to customers and teaming with an assigned Regional Manager (RM) to achieve regional sales goals.  In this role the IAM is responsible for new customer acquisition and growth initiatives, connecting with and pre-qualifying new target accounts, assessing customer needs, determining pricing, formulating quotes and proposals, and responding to current customer RFQs, technical inquiries and customer service issues. Some travel may be required.
    • Contact new and existing customers to evaluate potential for growth
    • Discuss prospective customer need
    • Formulate winning solutions and quotes/proposals to meets customer needs
    • Explain how customer needs could be met by specific our products and value-added service
    • Answer customers' questions about products, prices, availability, product uses, and credit terms
    • Quote prices, credit terms and other bid specifications
    • Promote our value proposition and differentiated capabilities to customer prospects
    • Emphasize product features based on analysis of customers' needs, and on technical knowledge of product capabilities and limitations
    • Maintain customer records, using automated systems
    • Prepare sales contracts for orders obtained and submit orders for processing
    • Assist customers in making the best product selections based on their application, performance needs, product specifications and any applicable regulations
    • Team with assigned Regional Sales Manager (RSM) to achieve regional sales goals
    • Maintaining a data base of key customer contacts (decision makers, influencers, technical specialists, designers, et al)
    • Incorporating value selling as a standard sales practice
    • Participating in weekly sales opportunity working sessions
    • Preparing annual sales forecasts
    • Strategically assessing new opportunities for their potential long-term impact
    • Achieve account retention goals of > 95% through industry leading customer service and support
    • Report weekly on pipeline activity: account pre-qualification, re-qualification and RFQ responses
    • Research account and the internet in support of Regional Market penetration efforts
    • Maintain customer communications records using the firm’s CRM and order entry systems

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Minimum: 5 years external business-to-business sales
  • Desired: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Science, Technology or Psychology
  • Desired QMP Sales Training Certification
  • Professional demeanor, attitude, communication, vocabulary, and appearance
  • Respect: Treat customers, reps, distributors and all colleagues with courtesy and respect
