$19 - $23 DOE

Who we are: 
Our client designs, engineers, and builds a variety of parts, sub-assemblies, equipment, greenhouses, and machinery for multiple industries, including agriculture, transportation, construction, and industrial products.
Manufacturing processes include material processing, saw, form, laser/plasma cut, CNC machining, fabrication, finishing, mechanical and electrical assembly, hydraulics, manifolds, parts, repair and shipping services as well as on-site engineering services.

What you will do:

As an Industrial Powder Coating Operator, you will apply powder coatings to various metal surfaces using specialized equipment and techniques. You will also help to prep and powder coat machines and manufactured parts with both protective and decorative materials: paint, enamel, glaze, or gel-coat
 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Prepare surfaces for powder coating by cleaning, sanding, and masking as needed.
  • Set up and operate powder coating equipment, including spray guns and booths.
  • Select powder according to the company's color scheme and specifications, prepare and load powder.
  • Apply powder coatings evenly and accurately to achieve the desired finish.
  • Monitor the coating process to ensure proper adhesion and coverage while adjusting sprayer valves and nozzle as needed.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform routine maintenance.

Desired Attributes and Experience:
  • 1+ year of previous experience in industrial powder coating operations.
  • Knowledge of LEAN manufacturing principles.
  • Experience operating forklifts, cranes, and material-handling equipment.
  • Math skills for measuring and calculating material requirements.
  • Mechanical and/or equipment knowledge for setup and troubleshooting.
