Opening: Human Resources Manager
Location: Wasilla, AK
COMPANY INFO:
Opti Staffing Group is seeking an experienced HR Manager to join a dynamic non-profit organization. This role is crucial in overseeing human resources operations, ensuring compliance, and supporting employee relations, benefits, recruitment, and training.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
As an HR Manager, you will:
Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
Manage employee benefits, including health plans, COBRA administration, and retirement plans.
Oversee compensation administration, including job evaluations and salary adjustments.
Lead the recruitment process, from job postings to candidate selection.
Maintain personnel records and ensure compliance with licensing and credentialing requirements.
Support volunteer coordination, ensuring proper documentation and placement.
Ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws, EEO regulations, and labor standards.
Administer the Workers’ Compensation Program and assist with return-to-work accommodations.
Track HR data, including salary records, hire dates, and turnover rates.
Conduct new employee orientations and onboarding processes.
Provide guidance on employee relations, conflict resolution, and policy enforcement.
Coordinate training programs and professional development opportunities.
Assist in HR budget planning and resource allocation.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field with at least two years of progressive HR experience.
Equivalent training and experience will be considered.
SHRM-CP certification preferred.
Skills & Abilities:
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Proficiency in conflict resolution and problem-solving.
Knowledge of HR compliance, employment laws, and best practices.
Public speaking and group presentation abilities.
Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
Ability to collaborate with management and provide HR support across departments.
