Opening: Heavy Equipment Parts Associate
Location: Anchorage, AK 
Pay: $20-$25 per hour

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Heavy Equipment Parts Associate to join our team.

WHAT YOU’LL DO: 
As a Heavy Equipment Parts Associate, you will play a crucial role in supporting our forklift service and repair operations. Your primary responsibility will be to manage and coordinate the parts inventory, ensuring that we have the necessary components readily available to facilitate timely repairs and maintenance.
  • Monitor and maintain an organized inventory of forklift parts, including ordering, receiving, and stocking parts as necessary.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Process parts orders for service and repair requests.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of parts.
  • Maintain detailed records of parts inventory, including part numbers, quantities, and supplier information.
  • Create and update purchase orders, receipts, and other relevant documentation.
  • Work closely with the service and repair team to provide them with the necessary parts in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Communicate effectively with technicians and service managers to understand specific parts requirements.
  • Ensure the quality and authenticity of parts received and handle any issues with defective or incorrect parts.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines for handling, storing, and transporting parts, especially those that may be hazardous.
  • Administrative Tasks: Assist in general administrative tasks related to the parts department, such as answering phones, filing, record-keeping, and data entry.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Proven experience in parts management, inventory control, or similar roles.
  • Familiarity with forklift or material handling equipment parts is a strong advantage.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, including inventory management software, QuickBooks and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
