Position: 2nd Shift Heavy Duty Mechanic
Location: Sumner, WA
Pay: $34.40 – $44.00 per hour, depending on experience

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
In this role, you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, and making necessary repairs on a variety of light- and medium-duty trucks, as well as heavy construction equipment. You'll work with a diverse fleet, including specialized machinery such as pavers and rollers. If you're not already familiar with a specific type of equipment, we’ll provide the training you need to succeed. This position offers a great opportunity to expand your skills while playing a vital role on a collaborative team made up of both seasoned and newer mechanics. Your work will directly contribute to the safety and reliability of our fleet, helping to keep field crews operating efficiently every day.
WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU:
Pay: $34.40–$44.00 per hour, depending on experience
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 4:00 PM to 2:00 AM

WHAT YOU NEED TO HAVE:
To be a good fit, you should have 5+ years of journeyman diesel mechanic experience with strong skills in diagnosing and repairing trucks and heavy equipment. Experience with manual transmissions, hydraulic, air, and electric brakes (brake certification preferred), and DOT inspections is important. You must be comfortable using computerized diagnostic tools and have your own basic toolset, including wrenches and sockets. A valid driver’s license is required, with a CDL Class A preferred, and flexibility to handle seasonal workload changes is essential. You should be dependable, safety-conscious, and able to work both independently and as part of a team to keep our fleet operating smoothly.
