Opening: Heavy Equipment Mechanic
City: Orting
WHO THEY ARE:

Over the years, we have developed a quality control program to help us make a wide variety of crushed rock and crushed stone products that meet tough customer specifications. So whether you’re a contractor building a high rise or a homeowner landscaping your yard, you can be confident that our products are the best available.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
As a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, you’ll perform mechanical repairs and installations on various types of surface mining equipment including front end loaders, excavators, dozers, haul trucks, skid steers, and more. Supporting the equipment mechanics team on projects including complete rebuilds, track swaps, diagnostics, and hydraulics. Come join our team and become part of a family friendly business.
Primary Responsibilities: Diagnosing and repairing surface mining equipment.
Performing repairs on our mobile equipment fleet Hydraulic systems, pumps, gear boxes, motors, etc
WHAT YOU NEED TO HAVE:
- Minimum of Two (2) years as a safety professional.
- MSHA experience preferred.
- OSHA experience helpful.
- Ability to connect and communicate effectively with each team member. Â
Education/Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- College degree in relevant field preferred
- Proper paperwork to document that you are authorized to work in the US
- Complete our online behavioral assessment
- Pass Pre-employment drug test and background check
Physical Demands: Working hours may exceed 10-hour shifts, M-F and most Saturdays. This job requires working with your hands, lifting heavy objects. This job requires working in elevated areas and equipment. This job requires working outside in all kinds of weather. Attention to safety when working on and around mining equipment and moving machinery.
