We’re partnering with a long-standing, mission-driven organization that provides health and welfare benefits to Alaska’s workforce. This group is dedicated to supporting members and their families with outstanding service, claims assistance, and benefits education.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
As a Health & Welfare Representative, you’ll be the go-to resource for members seeking assistance with their health, dental, vision, and disability benefits. This role requires a blend of customer service, attention to detail, and understanding of benefit programs. You’ll work closely with the Health & Welfare Supervisor and team to ensure members receive accurate information and timely claim resolution.
- Respond to member inquiries regarding eligibility, benefits, claims, and coverage
- Review and process claims documentation accurately and efficiently
- Communicate with insurance carriers and providers to resolve claim or coverage issues
- Maintain confidentiality while managing sensitive member information
- Support open enrollment, benefit education, and member outreach efforts
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulations, and benefit plan provisions
- Assist with reporting, audits, and documentation for compliance purposes
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in benefits administration, healthcare, insurance, or related field
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational and customer service abilities
- Working knowledge of health plan terminology and claims processes preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and database systems
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
