Location: Anchorage, AK
Pay: $30 - $40 PH W/ Benefits

Opti Staffing Group is excited to partner with a leading commercial property management company in Anchorage, AK. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented GL Accountant / Assistant Controller to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in maintaining our financial integrity and supporting our continuous growth. WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Manage daily accounting operations, including general ledger entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
- Assist with the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
- Compile financial data and provide insights into financial performance in coordination with various departments.
- Support the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures to enhance financial control.
- Handle accounts payable and receivable to ensure accurate and timely transaction recording.
- Participate in budgeting and financial forecasting, providing essential data to support business decisions.
- Assist with tax preparation and audits, and identify opportunities for tax savings.
- Implement financial management best practices to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Stay updated on industry trends and changes in accounting regulations.
- Collaborate with the finance team to drive overall financial performance and business growth.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, with a preference for experience in property management or real estate.
- Solid understanding of GAAP and financial principles.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Yardi) and MS Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and multitasking skills.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and precision.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
- A commitment to continuous learning and staying abreast of accounting best practices.
