Opening: Front Desk / Counter Sales
City:  McMinnville, OR
Pay:  $16-20/hr.
Schedule: M-S 7am-5:30pm (4-10hr schedule, 40hrs/wk.)

Who We Are:
Our client is seeking a motivated and customer-oriented individual to join our team as a Counter Salesperson at our equipment rental store. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, assisting clients with their equipment rental needs, and managing transactions at the counter. This role requires strong communication skills, product knowledge, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

What You’ll Do:
  • Greet customers and assist them in selecting the appropriate equipment for their needs.
  • Provide detailed information about rental products, including features, specifications, and rental policies.
  • Process rental transactions accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale system.
  • Answer customer inquiries in person, over the phone, and via email, providing timely and helpful responses.
  • Maintain a clean and organized counter area, ensuring that all promotional materials and product displays are up to date.
  • Collaborate with other team members to restock inventory, perform equipment inspections, and ensure a well-maintained store environment.
  • Resolve customer issues and complaints with professionalism and a focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends, product updates, and changes in rental policies to provide accurate information to customers.

What You Need to Have:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in sales, customer service, or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Basic knowledge of construction and industrial equipment is a plus.
  • Ability to operate a computerized point-of-sale system.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a team and independently.
  • Physical ability to lift and move heavy equipment when necessary.

Working Conditions:
  • This role involves standing for extended periods and occasional lifting of heavy equipment.
  • Work hours may include weekends and holidays based on the store's operating schedule.
