Opening: Forklift Operator
City: Tacoma, WA

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Operate forklifts and chainsaws to handle and cut materials efficiently. Perform daily equipment inspections and uphold safety standards. Foster teamwork and contribute to both personal and team growth. Adhere to safety protocols, manage inventory, and support storage, cleaning, and other assigned tasks. Report any equipment issues or safety concerns to supervisors and stay adaptable to evolving job demands.
WHAT YOU NEED TO HAVE:
- 1-4 years of forklift and machinery experience
- Forklift certification
- Knowledge of lumber products
- Ability to deliver high-quality, detail-oriented work
- Ability to read, write and speak English for work communication
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform occasional physical tasks
- Clean background and valid driver’s license
- Pass pre-employment drug test
- Steel-toed boots required
NOTE WORK ENVIORNMENT:
The role involves frequent exposure to fumes, moving mechanical parts, and vibrations. Work is primarily outdoors in varying weather conditions at the distribution warehouse. The environment can be noisy with high levels of ambient sound.
WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU:
- Pay: $20-21/hr DOE
- Shifts: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
