Opening: Flatbed Specialist
City: Auburn, WA
WHO THEY ARE:
Alaska's leading Freight Distributor is looking to expand the Auburn, WA team with the new year upon us. We are looking for career-minded, high-energy Forklift Operators to make an excellent career move and join our team. This is a full-time and permanent position with a great, family-oriented company.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Load Inspection: Inspecting the flatbed load to ensure it is properly secured and safe for transportation.
Load Securing: Securing the load using straps, chains, or other securement devices to ensure it remains stable and does not shift during transportation.
Equipment Inspection: Inspecting the flatbed truck and trailer for any potential issues or problems that may arise during transport.
Safe Transportation: Driving the flatbed truck in a safe and responsible manner, obeying all traffic laws and regulations.
Communication: Communicating with the dispatcher or logistics team to ensure timely delivery of the load and providing updates on any issues that may arise during transport.
Paperwork: Completing and submitting necessary paperwork, such as bills of lading and load manifests.
Maintenance: Performing routine maintenance on the flatbed truck and trailer to ensure that it is always in good condition for transportation.
WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU:
$24-25/hr

WHAT YOU NEED TO HAVE:
The ideal candidate for a flatbed specialist job should have a high school diploma or equivalent and relevant experience in flatbed transportation. They should also possess strong communication and organizational skills, be able to work well under pressure, and be willing to work flexible hours.
