  • BA degree in accounting, finance, economics or related field is a bonus.
  • 3+ years related work experience.
  • Outstanding financial and analytical skills.
  • Proficient with cash handling.
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • Proficient with MS Office Excel.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent people skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.

  • Verifying the patient's health insurance benefits prior to patient arriving for exam.
  • Entering insurance data in Practice Management System.
  • Generating reports for all activities.
  • Following up on non-paid insurance claims.
  • Managing late payments and overdue accounts.
  • Processing insurance payments and refunds.
  • Submitting documentation to insurance companies and/or Clearing House.
  • Reconciliation of bulk payments to Practice Management System.
  • Monitoring weekly, monthly and quarterly reports to confirm payment from clients and insurance companies.
  • Preparing financial agreements and entering contracts in Practice Management System.
  • Explaining financial agreement and insurance benefits to patients.
  • Ensure all patients are placed in the appropriate active status for accurate tracking.
  • Post all charges and payments.
  • Post all adjustments and discounts with appropriate justification and comments in the Practice Management System.
  • Manage and follow up with all AR accounts by following up with delinquent accounts.
  • Renegotiate financial agreements as needed to maximize collections.
  • Complete day/month end reporting and reconciliation.
  • Responsible for petty cash.
