Location: Sherwood, Oregon
Compensation: $18/hr. just to start
Hours: Monday – Friday, 6am-2:30pm 

Who We Are:

Our manufacturing facility is located on 5 acres in Forest Grove, Oregon, flanked by the coast range on the west and the Cascade Mountains on the east. We began as a supplier of group operator air brake disconnects, their product line has evolved to include motor operators, ground switches, surge suppression resistors, unitized phase-over-phase designs, to mention a few. 

What You’ll Do:

This position is a hybrid role that will work predominantly out of the manufacturing facility as a member of the Assembly team with a focus on building hook stick switches, resistors, interrupters, and air disconnect switch gear. The field service aspect of the position will require that the team member interfaces with customers and sub-contractors to support the installation, maintenance, repair, or removal of products through direct involvement, or digital and audio communication or correspondence. The position requires an extensive knowledge of their product design and application along with the ability to simplify and teach a complex idea. Field Service/Assembly team members must be willing to work irregular hours and travel throughout North America as well as support production and Manufacturing in Forest Grove.

Essential Duties:
Field Service:
-Ability to provide support for the instillation and usage of all products
-Coordinate field service activities with all out other pertinent departments within the organization
-Preform clerical and administrative activities associated with creating and reviewing field reports, expense reports and customer follow-up
-Work to minimize cost for both the company and their customers and prevent operational delays
-Function in accordance with established standards, procedures and applicable laws
-Constantly update job knowledge

-Assemble Products by retrieving, lifting, carrying various sized parts
-Position, measure, fit and use various assembly aid tools such as drills, screwdrivers, wrenches, impact wrench and other assembly tools
-Maintain inventory of parts needed to complete tasks on the workstation
-read, interpret and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble equipment
-Document record work completed, and materials scrapped or rejected
-Ensure the quality of parts/products being produced by checking specifications and material quality and operating functionality

The musts:                                                 

-Move / carry up to 50 pounds
-Stand on your feet for up to 10 hours
-Must be able to read and understand a tape measure.
-Have reliable transportation 
-Mechanically inclined
