Accountant Opportunity
Location: Woodburn, OR
Pay: Competitive salary (DOE)

What You’ll Do:

Perform month-end close and prepare consolidated monthly financial statements for multiple entities under GAAP.
-
Analyze consolidated financials and prepare executive summary reports.
-
Collaborate with general managers/controllers on financial reporting and process improvements.
-
Collect and monitor key financial metrics.
-
Perform transaction-level accounting and produce financial reports as requested.
-
Complete monthly and quarterly trial balance reconciliations.
-
Support the controller with month-end close procedures for main entities.
-
Conduct budget-to-actual analysis.
-
Develop and implement standard accounting policies and procedures.
-
Perform financial analysis and modeling as needed.

Track and manage entity compliance (licensing, renewals, tax payments, etc.).
-
Oversee intercompany accounts and reconciliations for all entities.

Supervise a team of 2-3 accounting department staff.

Implement internal controls to reduce financial risk.

Prepare short-term cash flow forecasts.
-
Assist with enterprise business acquisitions and bank financing projects.

Support annual property & casualty insurance renewals.

What You Need to Have:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
-
Strong Excel skills
-
Overall understanding of how financial statements are prepared and analyzed
-
Strong IT aptitude with experience working across multiple systems and integrating data
-
Excellent communication skills for explaining financial information to non-financial stakeholders
The Musts:
-
3+ years of experience in public or private accounting (auditing experience preferred)
-
Ability to perform financial analysis and modeling
-
Proven track record of accuracy and attention to detail
-
Ability to supervise and mentor accounting staff
Preferred:
-
Experience in the construction or heavy civil industry
-
Background in enterprise business acquisitions and bank financing projects
