What You’ll Do:

What You Need to Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Significant professional experience in governmental accounting or public sector finance
- Knowledge of GAAP, GASB standards, and state/local budget laws
- Strong leadership and organizational skills with experience managing finance staff
- Proficiency in financial systems and reporting tools
The Musts:
- Deep understanding of fund accounting, cash allocation, budget development, and audit coordination
- Experience managing payroll, utility billing, and accounts payable
- Ability to interpret and apply state/federal regulations and manage compliance
- Exceptional attention to detail, communication, and problem-solving abilities
Preferred:
- CPA, CGFM, or related professional certification
- Experience with municipal government finance or public utility financial operations
- Familiarity with financial system implementations or upgrades
