Opening: Cardiac Monitoring Specialist
Location: Anchorage AK
Pay: $20 - $26
COMPANY INFO:
We are partnering with a respected cardiology group with an electrophysiology service line that is expanding its diagnostics team. Patient care, accuracy, and quick turnaround times are core to their approach.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Educate patients on Holter monitors, cardiac event monitors, and sleep monitors
- Evaluate ECG data and communicate abnormalities to nursing staff and physicians per notification guidelines
- Process, analyze, and interpret rhythms and arrhythmias for clinical accuracy and completeness
- Download and review Holter studies daily and prepare clear reports
- Document and bill service charges in alignment with department procedures
- Follow event protocols and interpret EKG rhythm tracings
- Notify providers of rhythms outside normal parameters according to policy
- Troubleshoot monitors, answer patient questions, and route concerns to the right team members
- Grow clinical knowledge with ongoing ECG rhythm interpretation training
REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Experience in cardiac telemetry or EKG monitoring preferred
- Technical training or education in EKG monitoring, medical assisting, or nursing is a plus
- BLS required or attainable on hire
- CRAT or CCT certification preferred
- RN or Paramedic EMT experience welcomed
- Strong attention to detail, dependable follow through, and a commitment to high quality reporting
