Fabrication Assistant
We are currently seeking a Fabrication Assistant to join our team at a state-of-the-art playground equipment manufacturer in the West Vancouver area. For over 50 years, our client has been providing safe and eco-friendly playground equipment to residential and commercial customers around the globe.
As our newest Fabrication Assistant, you will be responsible for cutting and drilling wood parts to fit with mounts and fittings. You will work alongside qualified individuals with tribal knowledge of the industry and a genuine leadership team.
What’s in it for you? We offer a great compensation package, with pay ranging from $18-$21/hr, depending on experience. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including Health, Dental, and Vision insurance, as well as paid vacation and PTO – eligible after 90 days. There is also an opportunity for lots of overtime hours, if wanted.
The ideal candidate for this position must have at least 1-2 years of experience in construction, carpentry, or wood fabrication, and 1-2 years of fabrication (grinding/cutting) experience. You must also have reliable transportation, experience using saws and drills, and be able to consistently lift 50lbs. Forklift certification is preferred, but we can provide in-house training for the right candidate. Ability to read blueprints and experience using manual machines is a huge plus!
