Since 1941, we have provided ISO 9001 certified prototype machining, 5-axis machining, welding, finishing and assembly. We operate the largest precision machine shop in the Northwest and have the ability to react quickly to our customer’s needs and get large, complex projects completed on schedule.
With a rock star team of certified, experienced professionals, our state-of-the-art machine shop in Seattle, WA provides composite tooling, integrated systems, engineering, aerospace tooling, fabrication and welding, shaft turning, large machining, horizontal boring, 5-axis machining, inspection, finishing and logistics.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Establish cost and production procedures for tooling, parts, and fabrication across multiple teams.
- Coordinate prototype development and production requirements with new and existing customers.
- Participate in gear and gearbox projects with our gear division.
- Utilize CAD/CAM software to determine accurate dimensions and pricing.
- $100,000-$130,000 per year to start

- Have at least 5 years of experience in precision machining and welding, with gears and gearbox knowledge preferred.
- Experience reading complex drawings and understanding of geometric tolerances.
- 2+ years of knowledge in accurately bidding and producing high tolerance machine and fabrication tooling and assemblies.
- Be able to understand planning machine work and managing contracts.
- Be an outstanding communicator both in person and through computer software and programs such as (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint).

I am born and raised in the Seattle area, and have never lived anywhere else. My wife, daughter, and I live in Renton, which is a perfect location for us. We live near all our friends and family, and we love taking advantage of all that the Northwest has to offer. Like the rest of my family, I graduated from the University of Washington, and am a huge Huskies fan. Most of my free time is spent spending time with my family, but besides that, I am a big Mariners and Seahawks fan (Bring back our Sonics!), and I coach high school basketball, which is a passion of mine. I love helping kids develop both on and off the court, and find it very rewarding to see former players as they get older and grow into young adults. Since graduating from college, I have had a number of jobs, but none that I really loved – until I started at Opti. The amazing culture that has been established is what I’ve been looking for.
