We have grown to include four operating companies, with divisions located throughout the United States, we provide a wide range of services – Industrial Painting and Specialty Coatings, Commercial Painting, Waterproofing / Sealants / Roofing, Specialty Contracting, and Insulation / Scaffolding / Abatement. We have provided expert services for a range of customers, including commercial building owners, high-tech manufacturing facilities, entertainment/sports complexes, U.S. and state governments and major industrial facilities.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Prepare preliminary budgets, conceptual estimates, and detailed estimates for projects of varying sizes and complexities.
- Calculate material quantities, labor costs, and equipment needs.
- Develop pricing schedules and bid proposals. Prepare conceptual estimates and/or budgets.
- Review and interpret project plans, blueprints, and specifications.
- Compile and analyze data from previous projects to develop guidelines for future estimates.
- Prepare and present cost-estimating reports to stakeholders.

- $70,000-$105,000 per year to start

- Minimum of 1-2 years' experience in Construction and Estimating.
- Degree or certification in a related field is preferred.
- Familiarity with design-build, engineer/procure/construct, and hard bid projects.
- Proficiency in computer-based estimating systems and software such as Microsoft Office, Procore, Bluebeam, etc.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative environment.
- Must be passionate about achieving goals.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Must be detail oriented.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

I am born and raised in the Seattle area, and have never lived anywhere else. My wife, daughter, and I live in Renton, which is a perfect location for us. We live near all our friends and family, and we love taking advantage of all that the Northwest has to offer. Like the rest of my family, I graduated from the University of Washington, and am a huge Huskies fan. Most of my free time is spent spending time with my family, but besides that, I am a big Mariners and Seahawks fan (Bring back our Sonics!), and I coach high school basketball, which is a passion of mine. I love helping kids develop both on and off the court, and find it very rewarding to see former players as they get older and grow into young adults. Since graduating from college, I have had a number of jobs, but none that I really loved – until I started at Opti. The amazing culture that has been established is what I’ve been looking for.
