What You’ll Do:
As the Estimating Manager, you’ll oversee the daily operations of the estimating department. This includes managing personnel, coordinating bid schedules, reviewing estimates, conducting post-bid reviews, producing conceptual drawings, and maintaining a department resource library. You’ll work closely with trade partners, vendors, and internal teams to ensure accurate and timely completion of estimates and successful project outcomes.

What You’ll Do:
As the Estimating Manager, you’ll oversee the daily operations of the estimating department. This includes managing personnel, coordinating bid schedules, reviewing estimates, conducting post-bid reviews, producing conceptual drawings, and maintaining a department resource library. What You Need to Have:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

10+ years of estimating experience

Strong background in mechanical systems, plumbing, and HVAC
-
Advanced proficiency in Excel and modern quoting software
-
Strong math, organizational, and problem-solving skills
-
Excellent communication and leadership abilities
The Musts:
-
Familiarity with ductwork manufacturing and SMACNA standards
-
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines

Experience in training and developing team members

Experience with modern construction quoting software

Creative and collaborative team player
Preferred:
-
Engineering or design background specific to piping/plumbing mechanical systems

Previous management of estimating teams in a mechanical contracting environment
