Opening: Dispatch Coordinator
City: Tacoma, WA

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
In this role, you will help coordinate and manage daily transportation and delivery operations to ensure materials are moved efficiently and cost-effectively. Responsibilities include monitoring transportation costs, developing and maintaining delivery zone and route spreadsheets, and assisting with scheduling and tracking inbound materials through third-party hauling agencies. You will help build relationships with transportation vendors to secure competitive local rates and collaborate across multiple divisions to strengthen company-wide transportation partnerships. This role also involves coordinating customer deliveries with operations and sales teams, managing shipping documentation, assisting with driver schedules and delivery timelines, and actively participating in the company’s safety committee to support a safe and efficient work environment.

WHAT YOU NEED TO HAVE:
For this role, you should have strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, along with dispatching experience and the ability to effectively coordinate schedules, deliveries, and logistics. You should be comfortable thinking critically and providing innovative solutions in a fast-paced environment where accuracy, accountability, and delivering high-quality results are essential. Success in this role requires being highly detail-oriented, technically focused, and capable of working independently when needed. Strong verbal, written, mathematical, and collaboration skills are also important to effectively communicate, problem-solve, and work across teams.
