Opening: Diesel Technician
City: Lakewood, WA
WHO THEY ARE:
Our ASE-certified technicians provide high-quality diesel truck service and parts in the Tacoma area. From our full-service shop in Lakewood, we use advanced tools and equipment to ensure accurate diagnostics and repairs. Known for excellent customer service and a commitment to getting drivers back on the road quickly, our skilled team makes truck repair a top priority—because we understand downtime costs you money.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
As a Diesel Technician, you’ll be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing diesel engines and related systems. This includes working on fuel injection pumps, injectors, electrical and diagnostic systems, and performing routine maintenance to keep trucks and equipment running safely and efficiently. You’ll use specialized tools and diagnostic equipment, follow factory guidelines, and ensure repairs are completed accurately and on time.
WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU:
$28-$35/hr

WHAT YOU NEED TO HAVE:
To be successful as a Diesel Technician, you should have hands-on experience working with diesel engines and related systems, including fuel injection, electrical, and diagnostic equipment. Familiarity with using specialized tools, reading technical manuals, and following repair procedures is important. Many technicians gain this experience through vocational training, apprenticeships, or prior work in truck, heavy equipment, or diesel repair shops. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced shop environment are also key.
