Opening: Customer Service Rep (Health & Welfare)
City: Anchorage, AK
Pay: $21.00
WHO THEY ARE:
Alaska-based company is looking for a Customer Service to fill a permanent position. This position is a great opportunity for someone with top notch attention to detail looking to get their foot in the door with a well established company with lots of room for growth.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
The Health & Welfare department is responsible for receiving and sorting insurance (medical and dental) claims for the plan participants and their dependents.
- Make outgoing calls to participants/providers to obtain information to backup insurance claims
- Answer incoming calls from participants/providers assisting with any inquiries concerning status of payments, covered benefits, eligibility, and other issues.
- Resolve any payment questions/determine if a payment has been made and if a claim was processed correctly
- Maintain and update participant files
- Other various duties assigned
WHAT YOU NEED TO HAVE:
- The Ideal candidate would have 2+ years of call center experience or the equivalent in telephone customer service
- Excellent oral/written communication skills
- Proficient computer skills including data entry and 10-key by touch
- Well-organized, highly detail-oriented and self-motivated
- Experience using MS Word/Excel, and Outlook
- Enthusiastic, positive outlook, and the ability to multi-task
- Willingness to work hard and have flexibility for overtime
