Location: Anchorage, AK
Pay: $95,000 - $120,000 PY

Opti Staffing Group is excited to partner with a leading Native Corporation in Anchorage, AK, known for its significant contributions to the community and its diverse business operations. This esteemed organization is seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Corporate Tax Manager to oversee their tax operations, ensuring compliance and efficiency within a dynamic corporate structure.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:
As a Corporate Tax Manager, you will:
  • Lead and manage the corporate tax planning, compliance, and reporting functions to optimize tax strategies and minimize liabilities.
  • Oversee the preparation and review of federal, state, and local income tax returns, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Coordinate and manage tax audits, including preparation and support during examinations.
  • Advise on tax implications of business decisions, mergers and acquisitions, and new policies.
  • Stay updated on tax laws and regulations to ensure company compliance and best practices.
  • Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to integrate tax planning with business operations.
  • Develop and mentor tax department staff, fostering a culture of professional growth and excellence.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or Master’s degree in Taxation preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate tax, with a strong background in tax compliance and strategy, preferably within a large corporation or public accounting firm.
  • Comprehensive understanding of federal, state, and local tax regulations, corporate tax planning, and compliance management.
  • Exceptional analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Strong leadership qualities and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
