WHAT YOU’LL DO:
As the Controller, you will assume a pivotal role in overseeing all accounting functions and financial activities of the company. Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, you will actively contribute to the development of internal control policies, procedures, and financial planning. This hands-on position involves active participation within our Finance Team, providing support and customer service to our locations in Alaska, Washington, and Oregon.
- Comprehensive Accounting Management
- Oversee all facets of accounting, including billing, financial statements, general ledger, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, budgeting, and tax compliance.
- Payroll and Billing
- Participate in the preparation of high-volume weekly payroll and customer billing for all locations.
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness in payroll processing and customer billing.
- Financial Systems Oversight
- Manage and oversee the maintenance of accounting software and systems.
- Ensure the efficiency and accuracy of financial data processing.
- Accounts Payable and Receivable
- Oversee payments of all accounts, ensuring timely processing.
- Manage payments for debts, bank loans, and other significant financial transactions.
- Cash Management
- Monitor cash and funding balances to optimize liquidity.
- Maintain an organized filing system for all financial transactions, statements, and debts.
- Financial Reporting
- Prepare and organize financial statements for record-keeping and review.
- Compile quarterly/annual financial reports and state/local tax filings.
- Compliance
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal financial laws.
- Oversee tax filings and reporting to meet regulatory requirements.
- Relationship Management
- Manage relationships with external professionals, including banking, accounting, insurance, and IT partners.
- Collaborate with these professionals to ensure smooth financial operations.

- Years of progressive experience in accounting and financial management roles.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficient in financial software and systems.
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal financial regulations.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Extreme attention to detail.

Most of my free time is spent spending time with my family, but besides that, I am a big Mariners and Seahawks fan (Bring back our Sonics!), and I coach high school basketball, which is a passion of mine.
