Construction Superintendent  


Location:  Portland, OR (Hybrid, part-time)
Pay: $40-$50/hour
Schedule: Mon-Fri 20 - 40 hours hours/week

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Superintendent to oversee and coordinate multiple construction projects from start to finish. The Superintendent will be responsible for ensuring that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the specified quality standards. This individual will demonstrate excellent leadership and organizational skills, ensuring a smooth flow of project execution while adhering to safety regulations and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all aspects of construction projects from planning to completion.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
  • Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, suppliers, and on-site personnel.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and compliance with safety regulations.
  • Resolve conflicts or issues that arise during the construction process.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports, schedules, and budgets.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, providing updates and addressing concerns.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
What You Need to Have:
  • Proven experience as a Superintendent or similar role in the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, methods, and materials.
  • Excellent leadership and organizational skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Skills:
  • In-depth understanding of construction procedures, materials, and project management principles.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and ability to enforce them on-site.
  • Proficient in MS Office and familiar with construction/project management software.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and time management skills.
  • Able to adapt to changing project requirements and ensure cost-effectiveness.
  • Strong team player with leadership capabilities.
  • Education & Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; AA degree in Construction Management or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in construction management, with experience in managing projects valued at $500k and under
