Opening: Construction Project Manager/CoordinatorÂ
City: Puyallup, WA

WHAT YOU'LL DO:Â
This role oversees and directs all aspects of the Center’s capital improvement initiatives, long-range facilities planning, construction oversight, property enhancements, scheduling, and building modernization efforts. The position administers the full capital construction program, supervising daily activities of general contractors and subcontractors while guiding cost forecasting, budgeting, and project execution for repairs, renovations, and infrastructure upgrades in collaboration with the Operations Manager. Assemble and provide drawings, specifications, and standards documentation to project consultants. Acting as the primary point of contact among consultants, contractors, regulatory agencies, and internal department leaders, this role ensures clear communication and compliance throughout each phase of planning and construction. Responsibilities also include preparing detailed progress updates and maintaining photographic documentation for stakeholder reports and presentations. In addition, the position leads parking and transportation operations, coordinating staffing, scheduling, and strategic partnerships with local agencies and transportation providers, and managing parking facilities and attendants to support major events and organizational needs.

WHAT YOU NEED TO HAVE:Â
• Associate degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline, plus a minimum of five (5) years of relevant professional experience; or an equivalent blend of education and hands-on experience demonstrating proficiency in project and/or construction management.
• Applicable industry or trade certifications may be considered in lieu of portions of the formal education requirement.
• Demonstrated experience overseeing construction projects strongly preferred.
• Comprehensive understanding of construction terminology, contract documents, specifications, blueprint interpretation, materials, equipment, and standard project management practices.
• Practical knowledge of applicable building, fire, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing codes; familiarity with land use regulations, local and county permitting processes, WISHA/OSHA safety standards, and environmental compliance requirements.
• Proven ability to develop and analyze cost estimates, prepare bid summaries, manage project budgets, and address financial components of construction projects, including labor scheduling and cost controls.
• Proficiency with industry-related software platforms. Preferred experience includes Excel, Bluebeam Revu, CAD, Revit, and Workzone.
• Ability to work in both indoor and outdoor environments in varied weather conditions and safely lift and/or move up to 50 pounds as needed.
• Must have the attitude to work as a contributing member, developing a positive environment within the organization.Â
