Opening: Production Scheduler 
City: SW Lake Oswego, OR
Pay: $24-$28+/hr. DOE
Monday – Friday 8am-5pm

Local 3rd generation family-owned Construction company. Established 64 years ago, this company specializes in disaster restoration, as well as home/business remodels.

What You’ll Do:
As the production assistant, you will coordinate with the production department and schedule work, inspections, subcontractors, etc. and accurately complete all necessary paperwork. Identify and resolve any problems that may come up while maintaining a positive and cooperative work environment. Communicate with various departments to ensure jobs are completed as scheduled and maintain company schedules.
You will also assist with creating and updating company meeting outlines and oversee the distribution of work assignments.

What You Need to Have:
  • Meet in person/by phone with field supervisors to update job statuses on a regular basis.
  • Distribute job status reports to Estimators and maintain updated contract amounts.
  • Set up foreman files/assign new jobs to field personnel. 
  • Call customers initially to introduce self, notify of supervisor and answer any questions.  Thereafter, select jobs to call on as a “well check on an intermittent basis and as needed to address problem jobs.
  • Call/meet with customers at job completion to obtain Satisfaction of Completion paperwork.
  • Obtain written schedules from supervisors and post to company databases.
  • Assist supervisors with production-related admin (i.e. contacting subs for schedules; tracking down proposals; calling for permit info; temp staffing; basically, anything that keeps them swinging the hammer).
  • Report any and all production related issues to the production manager. 
  • Monitor temp files and move through to billing when work is complete.
  • Oversee budgets and alert appropriate personnel to overruns.
  • Ensure updated information gets to the supervisors/field personnel (i.e., updated scopes, change orders written by estimators, sub proposals, etc.).
  • Notify A/R person when jobs are at a point for draws.
  • Receive foreman files at end of job - mark end date in the system, make sure job file is complete to pass on for billing. 
  • Track end dates on job for lien purposes. 
  • Write up the On Call Schedule and communicate with Business Connections.
  • Send samples for testing (asbestos, ITEL etc.)
  • Maintain virtual job files through to job completion and archive completed jobs.
  • Schedule and oversee Dump Truck driver & misc. personnel.
  • Check in/out equipment from the water room and other specialty equipment (flir, moisture meters, etc.).
  • Communicate with and update any third parties (i.e., Lionsbridge).
  • Safety: Hold monthly safety committee meetings, take and prepare notes of each meeting and follow up accordingly with safety committee recommendations.
  • Assist production manager when asked to do so by visiting job sites to inspect for safety issues, stand inspections, deliver equipment, take job site photos.
  • Keep track of certified personnel and arrange for re-certification as needed.
  • Intake warranties and assist in resolution.
  • Monitor GPS periodically to assist with emergency dispatch, provide proof of employee whereabouts and to insure all GPS on in trucks are working properly.
  • Assist production manager with truck periodic inspections in order to help maintain the fleet.

Ability to run a schedule (making sure a job is completed on time).
Excellent organizational skills.

Be flexible/adaptable.
Excellent problem-solving skills.
Microsoft Suite (Excel, Outlook, MS Word).
Knowing the phases of residential construction.

Preferred:
Construction industry experience:
Familiarity with a variety of finish and rough carpentry tasks in helpful, including but not limited to;
framing (interior and exterior), window and door installment, siding, stairs and handrails, decks, finish carpentry etc.
