POSITION: Construction Estimator(commercial)
LOCATION: N Portland

LOCATION: N Portland

Estimating:
- Follow up on leads assigned to them by the Lead Estimator.
- Communicate with potential customers to set up site visits and develop a reasonable timeline for delivering the completed estimate based on the project size and complexity.
- Communicate with potential customers to develop proper scope of work; offering solutions and suggesting better alternatives when possible/appropriate.
- Conduct site visits as applicable to take measurements, photo document, and meet with subcontractors.
- Create an excel spread sheet and input all project takeoff information.
- Download / input all project info into the project folder.
- Review project scope and estimate with the Senior Estimator before finalizing the estimate.
- Prepare a detailed project specific proposal.
- Input data into customer supplied bid form if applicable.
- Create and present bids to include field take offs, estimate, and proposal.
- Ensure proposal verbiage, scope and pricing are correct.
- Follow up on proposals.
- Attend all mandatory division / company meetings.
What you need:
- At least 1 years’ experience estimating in multi-family exterior renovations.
- At least 5 years’ experience with building envelope repair.
- Design build experience.
- Physically ability to carry a 20-30’ ladder.
- The ability to pass a background check.
- Have a “can do” attitude and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Have a strong understanding of general construction.
- Be able to read blueprints/ drawings.
- Be proficient in the use of Microsoft excel and word.
- Be able to multi-task and the ability to manage time effectively with little supervision.
- Be self-motivated and have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
