Job Description
OPTI STAFFING IS HIRING
Position: Commercial Tile Setter / Flooring Specialist
Location: Vancouver, WA
Pay: $20-30 /hour (DOE)
Schedule: Monday – Friday, Day Shift

Our Client is a local Vancouver flooring company seeking highly skilled Commercial Tile Setters/Flooring Specialists to join our extremely busy and year-round team. What You’ll Do:

Cut and shape tile to fit around obstacles and into tight spaces using hand and power tools

Align and straighten tile using levels, squares, and straightedges
-
Lay and set tiles for decorative walls, murals, and floors
-
Measure and mark surfaces per blueprints
-
Finish joints and clean excess grout using a damp sponge
-
Remove old tile, grout, and adhesive with chisels and scrapers
-
Clean and prep surfaces for installation
-
Mix and apply adhesives including mortar, cement, mastic, or glue
-
Measure materials and surfaces for accurate installation
-
Maintain a clean job site and handle post-project cleanup

What You Need to Have:

Proven experience in tile setting or commercial flooring

Ability to follow blueprints and layout plans

Skilled in measuring, cutting, and setting tile

Knowledge of adhesives and surface preparation
