Pay: $22-$30/hr DOE

Opti Staffing Group is partnering with a leading healthcare provider, to find a dedicated Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join their dynamic team. Our client is committed to promoting the well-being of patients by addressing their physical, psychological, spiritual, social, and educational needs. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with other healthcare professionals in a fast-paced medical office environment.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
As a Certified Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in patient care by ensuring a smooth and efficient clinical experience. Your responsibilities will include:
- Rooming Patients: Escort patients from the lobby to the exam room, obtain vital signs (including height and weight), and gather relevant data regarding the patient's chief complaint.
- Chart Preparation: Prepare the patient’s chart by gathering medical records, lab results, radiological and procedural reports.
- Message Handling: Process patient phone calls efficiently, prioritize messages, and consult with physicians or managers as needed.
- Patient Care: Schedule appointments, medical procedures, and assist with procedures as necessary. Educate patients on various health aspects when authorized by physicians.
- Quality Assurance: Frequently evaluate and optimize patient care, practice cost containment, and ensure timely submission of documentation.
- Workspace Maintenance: Clean and restock exam rooms, ensure products are up to date, and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Collaboration: Work closely with operations managers, clinical staff, and external providers to meet patient needs and enhance clinical operations.
- Flexibility: Be adaptable to work with different providers, handle various tasks, and serve as a back-up to the scheduling department as needed.
- Education: Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program, current CMA (or MA) certification, and CPR certification.
- Experience: At least one year of experience in a medical office and clinical setting, preferably within a medical practice.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with medical practice protocols, terminology, confidentiality requirements, and basic arithmetic.
- Skills: Proficiency in handling phone calls, written and verbal communication, and serving as a resource for clinic and scheduling staff.
- Abilities: Ability to communicate instructions clearly, collaborate with clinicians and staff, analyze data, type 60 words per minute, and flexibly respond to changing demands.
- Technical Skills: Competency in Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, EHR Intergy, and relevant practice management software.
