WHAT YOU’LL DO:
  • Develop and adjust CNC programs and instructions for lathe, mill, and multi-axis/mill-turn machined parts using Siemens NX or Esprit software.
  • Analyze job orders, drawings, blueprints, specifications, and design data to identify the suitable machine tool, work holding, and cutter selection.
  • Manage program start-ups in manufacturing, actively participating in troubleshooting and offering recommendations for improved manufacturability.
  • Monitor machine trial runs and conduct computer simulations to verify the functionality of programs and machinery.
  • Contribute daily ideas to address intricate machining challenges within a collaborative team environment.

WHAT YOU NEED TO HAVE:
  • Attention to detail.
  • Demonstrate creativity in machining processes.
  • Possess advanced hands-on proficiency in operating CAD/CAM software, with a preference for Siemens NX or Esprit.
  • Showcase expert-level programming skills for prototype and one-off components on lathes, 3 and 4-axis mills, and multi-axis mill-turn machines.
  • Apply a working knowledge of tool path creation, speeds/feeds, and cutting tool selection.
  • Approach tasks with professionalism, collaborating effectively with team members to ensure accuracy, manufacturability, and continuity.
  • Exhibit a high level of competency in shop math, machine controls, materials, and tooling.
