Location: Albany. OR.
Compensation: $22 - $25+/hr. - DOE
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Thursday 6am - 4:30pm

What You'll Do:
As a Machinist, you'll be responsible for setting up and operating machine tools to manufacture precision parts while maintaining strict quality and safety standards.
Responsibilities include:

Set up and operate machine tools to fabricate precision components

Read and interpret job orders, blueprints, setup sheets, and tooling instructions

Select the proper fixtures, tooling, and machine programs for each job

Monitor machine operation and verify parts meet required specifications and tolerances

Perform tooling changes, offset adjustments, and minor program edits as needed

Read and understand CNC programs

Troubleshoot machining issues to produce quality parts

Inspect finished products using precision measuring instruments

Complete inspection reports and production documentation
-
Maintain high quality standards while meeting production goals

Read schematics and engineering drawings
-
Perform a variety of general machine shop operations
-
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
-
Follow all company safety procedures and wear required PPE

Assist other departments as needed

High School Diploma or GED (technical school training is a plus)

Minimum of 3 years of machine setup, machine operation, or related manufacturing experience

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and setup sheets

Experience making tooling changes, offset adjustments, and minor program edits

Ability to use precision measuring equipment (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.)

Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills

Basic math skills for measurements and calculations
-
Ability to complete production paperwork accurately

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
-
Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand or walk for extended periods
