OPTI STAFFING IS HIRING!
Location: Forest Grove, Oregon
Compensation: $20Â to $32/hr. DOE
Hours: Monday – Friday, 6am-2:30pmÂ
Who We Are:
Our clients manufacturing facility is located on 5 acres in Forest Grove, Oregon, flanked by the coast range on the west and the Cascade Mountains on the east. They began as a supplier of group operator air break disconnects, their product line has evolved to include motor operators, ground switches, surge suppression resistors, unitized phase-over-phase designs, to mention a few.Â
What You’ll Do:
The CNC Machinist plays a key role in the production process, responsible for machining parts made out of aluminum, copper, stainless steel, and brass by programming in G-code, setting up, and operating two different machines: an old Mazak and a brand-new Flex 22-ft table. This role also involves ensuring quality and safety standards, maintaining accurate records, and overseeing equipment and supply upkeep.Â

The musts:Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â
•   Capable of creating CNC G code utilizing CAD/CAM softwareÂ
•   Solidworks or AutoCAD experience preferred
•   Read and understand drawings
•   Machine set-up and operation of complex and quick turn prototype and production parts
•   Experienced with metal (carbon steel, stainless steel, copper, aluminum) machining
•   Experience operating manual mills, lathes, drill press and surface grinders
•   Leading machine setup/operator team members through multiple projects
•   Training and technical lead for less experienced employees
•   High School diploma/GED or an AS Degree
